Flight School – Sandtoft
We were asked to build a new hangar large enough to house three helicopters at a wartime airfield in Lincolnshire. The project entailed stripping a grass area ready for foundations & a new floor slab, erecting steel framework, cladding the building and installing 12m wide sliding doors complete with a concrete ramp to the front gable elevation. The overall dimensions of the building were 15m wide x 15m long x 4m eaves.
